Last year we had the opportunity to talk about the subject at length, given the crucial importance of its introduction: since 25 May 2018, EU Regulation 2016/679, known as GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation) – on the protection of individuals with regard to the processing and free movement of personal data – has been directly applicable in all Member States.

The Regulation, as is well known, was created to ensure legal certainty, harmonisation and greater simplicity of the rules concerning the transfer of personal data from the EU to other parts of the world.
